Mountaine Mort Jonas is a highly experienced
trainer, conductor, actor, and musician in the rich honoring of
true personal stories that is called Playback Theatre. He is also
a long-time facilitator of Breathwork Medicine, a form of intensive
breathing (similar to "rebirthing") which is a potent
technique to advance self-knowledge, personal growth, transformation,
and healing.
An experienced software trainer/consultant in the
nonprofit corporate world (with recent clients including the Metropolitan
Opera and the Mayo
Clinic), Mountaine brings his professional communication skills
to teaching creativity through improvisational theatre, and to leading
clients in breathwork sessions. He holds an S.B. degree from M.I.T.,
where he majored in urban planning but focused on music and theatre.
He has pursued experience-based spiritual work for personal growth
since the late 1960s, which provides a foundation from which he
has developed his abilities in both playback theatre and breathwork.
Mountaine is also the founder of EarthStage
Productions, a nonprofit founded in 1993 to produce high-quality
theatre designed to educate audiences about social and environmental
issues.

Mountaine is known to his friends for
his unusually colorful socks, the huge
assortment of hats he has collected in Thailand, Holland, Nepal,
Brazil, Coney Island, etc. that he wears on occasion (usually one
at a time, but not always), and for the combination of frivolity,
political perspective, surprising silliness, and serious spirituality
which he brings to the table. And the chair, the floor, the ceiling,
the great outdoors...
